Weird rash on my neck?

I've got this rash on the back of my neck and also a bit on the sides and back of my head. On my neck it looks almost like small mosquito bites, which are red. I've had eczema on my hands for almost two years now, so I thought maybe it was eczema when this rash first started. (Which was about a week ago, and it seems to be getting worse now.) I tried using my eczema medication on it but it didn't do anything. The rash is super itchy, especially in the morning when I first wake up. I've had lice before and don't think I have that again. No one here who has looked at it thinks it's lice either. I bought calamine lotion last night and it cleared up a bit when I first put it on, and it helps the itch for a little while. My friend thinks it sort of looks like poison ivy, but she isn't sure. What could it be?

Sounds like contact dermatitis, you may be allergic to something you are in contact with and because we sweat around the neck it comes up there. Maybe a hair product or perfume? Do you put anything on your neck that you don't put anyplace else. also it can be as simple as the detergent you wash clothes in. I can't change mine. I use one brand so I don't have this problem, I did once and it took a while to figure it out. You can buy some benadryl cream and put it on the area thet breaks out and take a capsule at night it should keep it from flaring up. Any antihistamine will work, they can make you drowsy so take what you take at night. It will keep you from the shot hopefully and you can figure out what is causing it. Try switching hair product that touches the neck or anything else you think it might be for a few weeks and see if it goes away. It's a process of elimination really.
